About.

As it continues to develop, the sus4chord.com web site will include a blog on topics of interest to me (Christian music and music in general), my music creations as created by my Generic Band moniker (which is a play on words for my name John Erik - Generic), my sus4chord moniker, my notation and music creation efforts by my jefmusic moniker, and original and public domain music performed and recorded by the Apostolic Band.

By profession, I work as an Information Technology (IT) Project Manager and have a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, and was most recently the Director of Music Ministries and Choir Director at St. Mark United Methodist Church in Pensacola, FL.  I now participate in music ministries at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church in Pensacola, FL, as choir member and substitute pianist/organist.  I have also previously served as pianist/choir director at Gonzalez United Methodist Church in Pensacola, FL.  When I lived in Virginia, I was the founding member of the Apostolic Band (church praise band), along with my music writing partner, Chris Werle.

In the near future, I will include more information about the music software I use:  PGMusic products (Band-in-a-Box, RealBand, and PowerTracks Pro), Notation products (Noteworthy Composer, Notion, Finale, Notation Composer, MuseScore, and Forte), Digital Audio Workstations (Cakewalk by Bandlab, Samplitude Pro, Reaper, MultiTrack Studio Pro, Mixcraft Pro Studio, Presonus Studio One, and Harrison Mixbus 32C), and other various music processing software applications.  See the "SOFTWARE" tab for more information.
